The AV Solutions Manager, Visual Communications Group, is responsible for supporting Ricoh's Direct sales channel in the area of Audio Video (AV) products with a focus on consultation, system design and project management. Provide field support, develop demand for Ricoh's Visual Communications products, develop leads and sales opportunities for Ricoh salespeople and work directly with our corporate customers to design AV solutions to fit their needs.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports sales in the field by working directly with Ricoh Direct Salespeople and their customers.
Travels with Ricoh salespeople, meets with customers, determine sales opportunities, provide consultation and design AV system solutions.
Drives sales of Ricoh AV product lines and solutions to new and existing customers.
May support and / or lead the RFP and proposal creation process for VC products.
Builds customer relations by demonstrating both sales skills and technical knowledge.
Makes presentations, lead customer discussions, and utilizes internal resources to advance the sales and consultation process.
Provide AV Consultation to Ricoh customers. Assess customer needs for purposes of upgrading equipment / converting space. Asks probing questions regarding current infrastructure in order to determine bandwidth, capabilities and customer equipment needs.
Provide System Design to Ricoh customers. Specs the right products / solutions, works directly with the customer IT department and helps to design a solution to best fit the customers' needs. Drafts space (meeting room / huddle room) design with considerations for IT infrastructure, electrical requirements, internet & connectivity, including power requirements. Determine how this design will work with other buildings (tied to same network), etc. May provide drawings to third party to coordinate project and complete installation.
Provide Project management and oversight from beginning to end of installation. This entails consultation, design, coordination of equipment delivery (vendor and customer), installation, time line, project completion, customer testing and on-site training at the customer location, etc.
Assess sales opportunities for Ricoh based on customer needs analysis, pricing, performance and features.
Stays current with AV market changes, product trends, new technologies and innovations.
Participates in local and National trade shows.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires travel up to 50% of the time.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)
4-year college degree or equivalent business experience in a related field.
5-7 years of progressive industry related sales and/or marketing experience, with 2 years management experience managing a large strategic account, building and developing sales relationships to a "C" level in a growing business environment.
Experience in AV Consultation, System Design and Project management
Subject Matter Expert in the field of Projectors, Video Conferencing and Interactive Touch Panel Displays
Experience selling AV products and solutions, or working for a System Integration Company or AV manufacturer is preferred.
CTS certification or equivalent AV knowledge required.
