This position leads the AV Technical Services & Meeting Production team as a working supervisor. This role is responsible for providing professional audiovisual support, technical expertise, training, customer consultation, design/ installation and media solutions that support internal and external customers in our Minneapolis Corporate Headquarters location.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
Build and maintain a high-performing team; select, develop, coach, reward and recognize team members.
Supervises staff by conducting performance appraisals, training, coaching communication, corrective actions and technical oversight.
Performs AV technician duties while also managing staff daily work flow, response times, customer service and develops standard operating procedures as appropriate.
Partner with AV team in in the opposite location to ensure seamless meetings.
Works with various departments to select equipment and develop long-term strategy.
Work with procurement on purchasing equipment and services.
Responsible for the maintenance, inventory, life-cycle management and replacement plans for all AV equipment. Specifies equipment and maintenance services as needed, monitoring trends and related budget.
Coordinates external service support including vendors, contractors, consultants, and specialists.
Assists in preparing budget in area of control, monitors expenses.
Schedules all work coverage related to vacation, holidays or other time off that affects the normal shift schedule for the AV techs.
Provides superior customer service.
Assists Manager as requested.
Bachelor’s degree in a technology field and professional designation in Technology or related field preferred CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D.
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
Professional meeting production experience, including large scale multimedia productions.
2 years of management and/or supervisory experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of service agreements and contacts and ability to interface with vendors/contractors for related services.
Audio visual technical skills, ability to consult with customers, audio visual design and installation and ability to provide audio video support to internal and external customers and ability to perform work.
Must have a driver's license valid for type of vehicle driven and maintain a safe driving record where driving is a work requirement, an annual review of driving record will be performed.
