Little is seeking an Audio Visual Engineer / Designer with a positive, collaborative work style, for our Charlotte, NC, office. As a Senior Design Engineer you will lead and support the engineering of systems for a variety of projects, working closely with Architects and MEP Engineers in creating designs for all projects including Office, Healthcare, Schools / Education, Critical Facilities and Automotive Retail.
The person selected or this opportunity will use their passion for innovative design, problem solving and critical thinking; Leading strong client relationships; generating design options from the earliest stages of a project; participate in planning, technical exchange, coordination meetings with all design team members; Providing drawing coordination and technical oversight for project activities with clients, staff, and consultants; Performing site observations, reviewing shop drawings and material submittals and other related construction administration tasks.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in design of Audio Visual systems
Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
Exemplary organizational and communication skills, and be able to manage a number of projects at one time
Participate in planning, technical exchange, coordination meetings
Conduct site surveys, develop site designs, create operational concepts, test and implementation plans to include providing requirement analysis derived from the customer’s request and translate those requirements into schematic designs, drawings, material lists and budget estimates
Participate in and provide site specific information for the project review, develop and conduct design reviews, and provide reviews of contractors shop drawing submittals
Proven CA experience, including successful field engineering to resolve conflicts and issues
Responsible to design interface requirements from the customer’s local area network interface to the wide area network infrastructure
Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or (CTS-D) a plus; and
Knowledge of security, telecommunications, CCTV and nurse call systems a plus
