The Audiovisual Sales Account Executive (AE) is responsible for achieving sales and profitability objectives from new and existing clients. The AE generates a minimum of $1.4M in annual revenuw and is responsible for individual territory business development, identifying marketplace opportunities, prospects and engaging new clients. The Audiovisual Sales AE is responsible for the audiovisual sales process including but not limited to, preparation and development of proposals or bid responsibilities, communication regarding project scope, schedule and change order costs for the audiovisual system and services and managing the customer's expectations. The Audiovisual Sales AE must be able to problem solve and negotiate effectively.
The Audiovisual Sales AE must be able to identify client needs and budget requirements and develop a scope of work that will accurately define the functionality and features of the audivisual system as well as making insightful recommendations for new products or existing system enhancements. The Audiovisual Sales AE can identify and qualify high margin leads and is able to guide the client through the planning/design, implementation/closeout and support phases of their projects. The Audiovisual Sales AE is the first point of contact on all aspects of the account, works to resolve account issues in a timely fashion and has the unique ability to become a partner with the client before, during and after the sale to ensure quality client service. In addition, the Audiovisual Sales AE must continously learn more about the netcentric AV/IT design build process and new technologies to enhance and streamline our AV/IT solutions for the client.
Five plus (5+) years experience providing consultative sales and customer support in the AV/IT industry. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Obtain and maintain InfoComm CTS certification.
Must have extensive audiovisual industry contacts.
The Audiovisual Sales Account Executive must have knowledge of the design and project management process, be able to work independently with minimal supervision and proficient with Windows and MS Office.
Demonstrate a professional level of verbal, written and listening communication skills including the ability to deliver presesntations, problem solve and negotiate effectively, develop high quality and grammatically correct documents for customers and proven techniques for determining hidden customer needs.
Positive spirit, professionalistm, confidence, drive, follow-through and good communication skills are attributes required for success.
Must have broadband internet access at home.
Mobility must include sitting for long periods of time, walking, driving, standing and some lifting, carrying, climbing, kneeling and crouching. Must be able to see, hear and have good eye/hand/foot coordination as well as the ability to work occasionally in hot or cold places.
Maintain a valid driver's license, insurance and use of personal vehicle.
