The Audiovisual Technician is responsible for implementing JP Lilley A/V project designs at the client site. They must work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Administration, Team Members and the Clients to ensure the JP Lilley installed systems maintain the highest quality and maximize customer satisfaction.
Represent JP Lilley at the client site, acting as the on-site interface with the clients, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and technical service representatives.
Cable pulling and AV equipment installation, including rack assembly, rigging and system commissioning.
Troubleshoot AV hardware, connections, control systems issues, audio DSP issues and network issues.
System testing and quality control of installed solutions.
Identify and resolve issues that will impact the project and schedule.
Perform and document system acceptance testing and client acceptance.
May manage onsite installation team on a per project basis.
Ensure systems are delivered on schedule and within budget.
Lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
Skills and Abilities
Low voltage cable pulling and termination
Rigging and mechanical integration
Soldering and mechanical terminations
Understanding audio, video and control flow
Understanding of computer networking
Test equipment use
DSP programming skills
Ability to travel
Education and Experience
Candidate should possess a minimum of two years of verifiable audio visual installation experience
Candidate should be knowledgeable in installation best practices related to wall and ceiling mounted displays, projectors and screens.
Working knowledge of Extron, Crestron and AMX control systems, DSP’s, Videoconferencing and AV related networking a plus.
