National AV and Broadcast Integrator looking for experienced equipment purchasing professional in the Central Texas area.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for the process of purchasing of equipment and services including; price solicitation, purchase order creation, order placement/tracking, contract negotiations, proposal preparation, vendor relations, database maintenance, and all other necessary vendor or procurement-related processes. Successful applicant will prepare equipment list bid response to project RFQs and RFPs. Other job duties include the development and maintenance of vendor relationships. MUST HAVE knowledge of AV and broadcast equipment.
Competitive equipment price analysis and selection.
Prepare and issue equipment POs.
Vendor qualification and selection.
Facilitate management review and approval of purchase orders
Order tracking and communication regarding status of orders
Assist with resolving order shipping/receiving discrepancies
Maintain status log of all purchase requisitions/purchase orders
Maintain purchasing file documentation for audit compliance of contracts, purchase orders, credit card orders and vendor database
Analyze and reconcile purchase orders against the Database Purchasing and Accounting Systems monthly/annually to report procurement obligations
QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent amount of education, training, or experience. 5+ years of Procurement, and/or Purchasing experience or strategic sourcing work experience preferred
Must be able to work under pressure with grace and provide quick turnaround against tight deadlines
Candidate must have confident demeanor and excellent rapport when interacting with all levels of staff
Candidates must be literate and highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, and Word. Should have some experience with corporate accounting software and procedures.
Candidates should be detail and quality-oriented and able to work independently.
