Primary Function Produce technical coordination of live events, meetings and webcasts for corporate multimedia facility. Conduct audio set-ups & recording in auditoriums & control rooms. Support a small team of production professionals by providing hands-on technical expertise for events, audio and video productions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Consult with clients to determine audio/visual needs for on-location and auditorium events
Coordinate all aspects of the event, including liaising with other internal departments, hiring vendors, monitoring performance & progress and provide necessary reports per project
Responsible for recording, switching, mixing and quality control of audio sources for live and taped events & productions.
Provide technical production support by operating cameras, audio, technical directing and other crew positions. Set up and operate a variety of cameras and act as Director of Photography to frame and capture audio and video in standard or high definition.
Conduct audio recordings and basic audio editing
Maintain & organize departmental equipment, send for repair when necessary
Audio / Video equipment troubleshooting and testing
Work closely with Creative Events Producer to achieve production goals in a collaborative manner
Take on special projects
Other duties as assigned
Excellent ability to work as an event leader, taking a project or event from discovery to pre-production through completion
Must be able to effectively manage a high volume of demanding, concurrent event projects
Positive attitude, initiative, energy and enthusiasm
Outstanding customer service orientation including professional presence and superior client relationship skills
Proficient in audio recording and mixing for live stage events. Studio & field experience with video production also helpful.
Must have and demonstrate ability to utilize extensive knowledge of cameras and production equipment operation, production techniques, engineering requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for budgeting, PowerPoint software to assist presenters with simple adjustments, familiarity with Sound Forge and Final Cut Pro
Well organized and able to handle multiple assignments with varying deadlines
Fully capable of accurate time and resource budgeting
Ability to learn proprietary client software processes & systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have a commitment to excellence and to ongoing education in event or video production and to the mastery of their craft
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Video/Film Production, Music or Audio, Communications or related field is preferred
6+ years’ experience in the corporate or television production or AV industry
Hands-on experience producing large scale meetings and events
